calgary zoo the grazer, lauren & kyle’s wedding

Lauren and Kyle’s wedding was a real treat to create since we were planning a customized watercolor crest to represent their interests and what they love to do together. The main stars of the crest is no doubt their pets, Tinkerbell the schnauzer and their 3 pea puffer fishes. Lauren and Kyle requested an abundance of colorful flowers since they wanted a garden summer vibe and many different animals because their wedding was at the Calgary Zoo’s The Grazer. I suggested a watercolor map on the back of their details card so their guests can easily find The Grazers in such a vast place. They readily agreed and we brainstormed which animals to go with so even when the guests took a stroll around the zoo, they can easily pull out the map card and see which animal exhibit is next to The Grazers.

They also requested a handmade paper item so I recommended a blush colored envelope since it would add a unique texture and feel when their guests hold the suite in their hands. To elevate the suite further, there was hand calligraphy, vintage stamps and a butterfly wax seal.

For their wedding day of details goods, we had tented place cards (each individually hand painted) and a different colored wax seal to represent the guests’ meal choice. Their signature drinks were colorful and included Kyle’s favorite Disneyland drink! Other items created were vow books, ceremony chair tags, welcome sign, seating chart and a menu with all the delicious food icons!

Their watercolor suite was a definite highlight in my stationery career!
